The Ultrasonic Liposculpture helps to solve the problems of subcutaneous fat accumulation in the abdomen and lower back area due to a bad diet and a stagnant lifestyle. Once they accumulate, they cannot be eliminated with diet because fibrosis and degenerative processes occur. Typical problems in men are the appearance of the so-called “beer belly” and gynecomastia. These are also caused by hormones.
Due to hormonal differences, women accumulate fat under the skin, while men accumulate fat in the abdominal cavity. For this reason, the procedure is more effective in women and they can achieve a “flat belly” (abdomen) more easily. Deposits in the “love handles” area appear together with accumulations in the abdominal area and must be removed together. Deposits in the back area appear later and are a sign of general gradual obesity. This is rarely simply genetic.
Liposuction of the abdomen, love handles, chest and back is one way to solve the problem and remove accumulated fat deposits. Diabetes (or predisposition to diabetes) will improve, as will high blood pressure.
Body contouring with Ultrasonic liposculpture: belly, arms, chest and back for obesity and cellulite.
The best method to eliminate fat deposits is ultrasonic liposculpture. It is a form of liposuction in which we liquefy the excess of fat with sound waves, harmless for the surrounding tissue. Blood and lymphatic vessels, nerve branches and connective tissue are treated. The liquefied fat tissue is removed gently and without blood loss, at very low pressure. The fat cells cannot regenerate in the same places because they have been destroyed.
Traditional liposuction also cannot cope with these problems due to lack of precision, trauma to nearby tissues and blood loss. It is also not easy to treat fibrous areas such as the male chest, upper abdomen, back and buttocks.
Here you will find a detailed description of ultrasonic liposculpture and a comparison with other liposuction methods.
The ultrasonic liposculpture is an ambulatory procedure that is performed only through a cutaneous puncture and under local anesthesia. UAL also has a lifting effect. It refreshes the skin, which is tightened while maintaining its elasticity.
We treat gynecomastia in men in the same way: by puncturing the skin in a hidden place. In this way we define the pectoral muscles, which in combination with a slim waist and a flat stomach make the male figure attractive. With this technique it is also easier to achieve well-defined “sixes”.
The atraumatism of ultrasonic liposculpture also allows us to combine the liposuction of the chest, back, abdomen and love handles with the elimination of fat from other areas of the face and body, according to the patient. We can also perform several elevations using the Serdev suture elevation method.
After ultrasonic liposculpture
After the procedure, we prescribe antibiotics for 5-7 days and analgesics for the first night (and thereafter as needed). We follow up daily for 5-7 days. These sessions include showering, disinfection, dressing and changing elastic bandages.
The most important thing in the first postoperative days is to watch for fluid retention or accumulation to avoid the formation of painful seromas and infections at a later stage. Daily observation in the first days is very important and we have not observed any late complications. Patients wear an elastic garment 24 hours a day for a month, preferably a month and a half. During this time, they can, of course, perform their normal daily activities.
The result is long lasting. The immediate result shows a much better shape of the body and limbs. The swelling is reduced to a minimum during the following three months. The ultrasonic liposculpture makes the fatty tissue liquefy and detach from the cells. Thus, the body perceives it as a foreign body and fights enzymatically its own fatty tissue. The vascular system generalizes this process, and as a result weight loss is observed during the first 6 months. After this period, patients have to maintain their weight. The final result is better and better during the first year, along with weight loss and reduction of swelling.
It is strictly forbidden to massage the treated areas. This is because the skin movements can destroy the newly formed capillaries. As a result, the swelling will increase, the recovery period will be longer and the skin fixation will be weakened.
Risks of Ultrasonic Liposculpture
blood clots
The Ultrasonic Liposculpture causes clots in the small blood vessels. The internal Ultrasonic Liposculpture produces heat and increases the temperature of the target adipose tissue. However, it can also raise the temperature of the blood vessels that feed the underlying skin. The increase in the temperature of the blood vessels causes the formation of clots in them. If the blood vessels that supply oxygen to an area of the skin are blocked by clots, the skin will die. The internal Ultrasonic Liposculpture can literally create a subcutaneous heat injury in a wide area.
Peripheral nerve damage
The Ultrasonic Liposculpture can cause damage in the peripheral nerves. Patients who have undergone internal Ultrasonic Liposculpture have a higher incidence of prolonged numbness, consistent with sensory nerve damage. Neurosurgical literature has documented the harmful effects of ultrasound on peripheral nerves. The possibility that the ultrasound energy damages the peripheral nerves suggests that the risks of using Ultrasonic Liposculpture in the arms, legs, neck and face may outweigh the possible benefits.
Seroma
A seroma is a cavity full of liquid under the skin that contains serum (a clear yellow liquid) and that can persist for weeks or months. The internal Ultrasonic Liposculpture causes a seroma in 15-70% of the patients. If the internal cannula of the Ultrasonic Liposculpture goes through the fat too slowly or if too much ultrasound energy is used, a seroma is produced because the surrounding tissue is damaged. As a result, one manufacturer has changed its recommendations and has “solved the problem” by recommending that surgeons reduce the amount of internal ultrasound energy applied to subcutaneous fat. In other words, do less ultrasonic liposuction and reduce the frequency of problems.
